NDIS Decluttering Services
Mornington Peninsula
A gentle decluttering service designed for those who need a little extra help
Mornington Peninsula Decluttering for NDIS Participants
We understand that clutter can build up for many reasons, especially when physical, cognitive or emotional challenges make everyday tasks harder to manage. Limited energy, reduced mobility, changes in health or a lack of regular support can gradually create a living environment that feels unsafe and overwhelming for people with disability.
This is where Shine Bright NDIS Decluttering Services Mornington Peninsula come in.
We believe in doing things a little differently – with heart, dignity and genuine care.
Our in-home decluttering NDIS support is about creating systems that not only make your home easier to live in but support your safety, independence and mental wellbeing.

3 easy steps:
1.
Meet
The very first step of our NDIS support decluttering process is a warm introduction to connect and build trust with the participant.
With the participant’s consent, we walk through the home together and ask lots of questions to understand how their environment is impacting their daily life. We pay particular attention on the accessibility of pathways, kitchen and bathroom usability, bedroom comfort and storage systems (or the lack of any). This is not an inspection though – it is a conversation with the participant to understand what areas feel overwhelming and where they need most support with.
Our initial consultation will also allow us to assess the participant’s emotional attachment to belongings and create a participant-led decluttering plan that fits their NDIS goals and preferences.
2.
Declutter
This is where we move into the hands-on decluttering stage – we roll up our sleeves and work one on one with you to help you decide what you would like to keep, donate or dispose of.
Our every action is guided by your choices and we take into consideration your capacity at all times – whether you need to take a break, lie down or sit the whole time.
Once you’ve decided what you’d like to keep, we thoughtfully organise what remains—creating simple systems you can follow each day.
Whether it’s a kitchen, bedroom, living area, home office, kids playroom or garage, our goal is to set up any space in a way that it continues to work for you long after we leave.
3.
Maintain
Once your home is organised, we then focus on helping you keeping it that way.
We understand that health challenges, fatigue or changes in support can make it difficult to maintain systems on your own. That is why we offer monthly, quarterly or six monthly follow up decluttering sessions, depending on your NDIS plan and individual goals. This ongoing decluttering assistance aims NOT to create dependence, but to build the participant’s confidence and capacity over time.

It is important that you are present during the decluttering sessions so you can make the decisions as to what you would like to keep, donate or dispose of. This ensures you remain in control during the entire process.
If the participant is a child, it is important we work with the parent/ guardian or caregiver who would be the decision maker in that case.
At the end of each session, we will place all household rubbish in your bins. For larger amounts of rubbish, we can assist with arranging a skip bin or a council hard rubbish collection. Please note, that this will incur extra charges that will be discussed at the initial consultation.
